Vasectomy

Vasectomy is a highly common procedure on men who no longer want to impregnate women with their sperm. After locally anaesthetizing the scrotum, we make a small opening on each side of it to reveal the vas deferens, the duct through which sperm travel into the semen. The ends of the vas deferens are clipped and sealed on both sides, effectively cutting off the availability of sperm. While typically the procedure is complete in less than an hour, it may take up to three months before the semen is free of sperm. Read more about vasectomy.
