Our History
Mill Creek Family Practice was founded in 1983 by Drs. Larry Schmidt and Mark T. Anderson after they met at Swedish Medical Center early in their careers.
The practice debuted to the community in a building along the 16000 block of Bothell/Everett Highway, currently the home of The Donaldson Clinic. On its opening day, the practice comprised only 2,400 square feet, nine examination rooms, and a couple of very earnest doctors.
In 1988 the MCFP moved into the Mill Creek Clinic and expanded into a 7,200-square-foot space with 16 examination rooms across from Mill Creek City Hall on Main Street. It remained there for 13 years.
In 1995 Dr. Schmidt was tragically killed in a small aircraft crash. His name now graces the building where MCFP relocated in 2001 and resides today, the Lawrence C. Schmidt Medical Center.
For almost a quarter century, Mill Creek Family Practice physicians have upheld the medical tradition established by Drs. Schmidt and Anderson–easy access to high quality care.
